Our clinical research team is pleased to report positive interim data from Phase II trials of GastroShield, SterisCare's novel gastroprotective formulation targeting NSAID-induced mucosal injury.
GastroShield combines a selective COX-2 inhibitor with a mucoadhesive gastric protective matrix, designed to reduce the gastropathy risk associated with long-term NSAID use in arthritic and pain management patients.
Interim Results Summary
- 68% reduction in endoscopically confirmed gastric erosions vs. comparator arm at week 12.
- Tolerability profile consistent with projected target product profile.
- No serious adverse events related to study medication.
Full Phase II data readout is expected in Q3 FY2026, with Phase III planning already underway pending regulatory review.
